| Can anyone recommend how much weight you actually save with a rear seat delete kit? I know how much retailers claim it will save, but I trust them about as far as I can throw them! I've heard anywhere from 35 to 55 lbs depending on the brand. | |

if you make the ones that weve been helping each other make, the wood we used is 5/8 plywood covered in carpet. the bottom of the back seats is actually really light and so are the backs, the only weight that youre really saving is the frame which is pretty heavy. After the wood and its covered with carpet i say give or take 20 lbs but if somebody wants to weight it they can give you a much better idea | |

| taking out everything is more than you think, its roughly 50 lbs....so subtract that, then add any weight you put back in for the seat delete. | |
