Tail of the Dragon Trip

I will use this post to update all of the tail of the dragon information.

Where would you guys like to eat? Somewhere nice and sit down, or somewhere quick? We can eat somewhere in the middle. There's nowhere really great to eat near the dam, so we will have to eat 30 minutes before or so, and fill up with gas beforehand.

We have decided to make the trip a 2 day trip instead of a 3 day trip. We will drive down, and find a hotel that day, then drive back the next day.

Here's the google maps trip. Still need some more information, but this give you a basic idea.

As for dates, what is everyone thinking?

I agree that last/first weekend of November/December that way there's a good amount of time for planning and what ever else we need to figure out.

Dangit thats the first weekend of peak cant get friday off

if we agree on that weekend or whatever weekend..if some people cant do Friday , could always meet up with us on Saturday

During yesterdays meet we briefly discussed the tail of the dragon trip at the end of November. We need to know who all wants to go and around what time you all would like to leave. We are thinking leaving sometime in the A.M. maybe in the 8-10 area. Please post up either here or on the forum with any feedback you may have on this and if you are interested in going, as most of you know its hard to make reservations for rooms/cabins if we wait till last minute. found the cabin info, I'm going to call this afternoon and see what kind of a deal they can give us

Jeremy, what was the cabin info? So I can add it to the trip list. Now that I'm not doing anything on the weekends, and don't have anybody to take care of. Haha.
