TBH, a plenum would do wonders for your car. the stock one suffocates a stock engine from about 5000+rpm. now you got the cams and its hurting bad.
quote:
"the OEM intake and OEM TB can only flow 388 cfm, and even with a 75 mm TB it can only provide 414 cfm. This hurts WOT performance at any engine speed above 5400 rpm. On the other hand, using the stock TB on any aftermarket plenum (except the C&L) will get you to 440+ cfm which is good to 5900 rpm.
Mate any aftermarket (but C&L) plenum with a 70 mm TB and you'll flow 500+ cfm which will provide airflow headroom to over 6500 rpm.
So, the morals of this story are: if you can only afford to replace one component at a time, do the plenum first; and any aftermarket plenum with a 70 mm TB (except the C&L, use a 75 mm TB there) will provide more than enough air to feed your n/a engine."
